I'm a fully trained/qualified and insured babywearing consultant, running a sling library in Hastings. I support both local and families living across East Sussex, and can help you to discover the joy of carrying your little one(s), not only safely, but comfortably too. Whether you’d like to hire a sling from the library, so you can try before you buy your carrier (highly recommended), or book a 1-to-1 fit-check session (believe me small tweaks really can make the world of difference!) Or have a more in-depth consultation to learn a new skill(s) or combine a few things then it would be my pleasure to support you - sharing my passion and knowledge! Babywearing Support can be at my home studio (most budget) and I can also travel to you for home visits and cover surrounding towns in East Sussex. (Towns include, but are not limited to: Fairlight, Icklesham, Winchelsea, Rye,  St Leonards-on-sea, Bexhill, Battle, Crowborough, Eastbourne and even Polegate).   My appointment types can be tailored to suit your exact needs. I think hiring a sling is super useful - as individual preferences, due to a range of factors, really can vary. (Although there are some carriers I'd actively avoid) The best sling from brands that do come recommended, will be the one that fits baby safely, you're both comfy in, and you can use by yourself with ease. My sling library in Hastings includes wraps, ring slings, half buckles, buckle carriers and more (and while I do have well-known brands available, I support many consultant-engaged brands, that are likely less on your radar). Carriers are available to borrow for a maximum of 4 weeks. Since becoming a Mum and then Consultant I've tried a a big range carriers and understand what works for different body types/ why, so if you're not loving something I will be able to suggest a range of different slings that have features which will benefit you more. Not so long ago I was a new parent, and very new to babywearing. I struggled with it, until someone suggested seeking support / moving on from a stretchy wrap to a woven, which I loved the idea of. And after loving what I learnt, and what a key part wrapping had in my parenting journey, I soon wanted to help others. So I later decided to train with Slingababy and Carrying Matters (and continually involve myself with CPD sessions) to ensure my knowledge is kept up to date,  and offer parents support in a safe way.
