Local babywearing support – how it works
I'm continuing to offer babywearing support for local families, but I'm now pausing home visits and bringing my services together into monthly Littleonesnug Studio Days (at my home) in Hastings.
Each date will offer a small selection of bookable sessions, from relaxed sling socials and practical workshops to more tailored one-to-one consultations. I'll release dates in advance, with bookings managed through Eventbrite. This allows me to keep offering practical, personalised support while making things a little more manageable around family life with a newborn.
My baby will be with me during sessions, so we will naturally need to flex around feeds, cuddles or changes - the same goes with your little one too :) Thank you for being part of this new chapter!

Learn to use a stretchy wrap safely and confidently (no need to buy one beforehand) as part of a small group - these are an affordable truly newborn suitable sling with great fit when tied optimally - lovely & snuggly for the fourth trimester! Extended hire available as an add-on, meaning you could just purchase a something more supportive carrier only once baby is sturdier.

Can I hire a sling/carrier only?
Yes! Local sling hire will still be available. Hire only is from £10 (and you can extend at £5 per week) 2 slings at any time - unless agreed otherwise. More info on hire collection on my simple-to-use hiring form.

Short focused sling social. (max 4 families - a family= 1 adult & 1 baby). Sit and chat with others while you wait to be seen for some quick sling support :) Is the session right for me? – Using a sling or carrier but something isn't quite working? Bring it along to the social and we'll tweak things as needed, I'll explain the what's and whys as we go. Support may include: – Comfort or fit adjustments – Checking baby's positioning – Ensuring you've got the basics right – Going through your carrier adjustments so you understand them better. - If you have a similar issue to someone else I might group you! If you need to put the carrier on from scratch - that will take most if not all of our short slot. I'll always work with your existing carrier where it can be used safely and appropriately. If your carrier isn't suitable or your question needs more time, I'll explain why, then recommend the most appropriate next steps. Clinic Social notes: – This is a **quick, focused check-in**, not a full consultation. It's not suitable for sling shopping, learning several carries or troubleshooting multiple issues. If you/baby have other additional health or medical needs we'll cover what we can, but a more in-depth consultation will likely be a better fit. Newborn Sling Hire Scheme

Due to the importance of optimal wearing (particularly in the early months I highly-recommended choosing one, or more of the add-on support options outlined under the read more dropdown below.
A simple, affordable way to try babywearing during the newborn stage, without having to buy a sling straight away. 🧡 Choose either (subject to availability): ♡ 2-way stretchy wrap ♡ Close Caboo Your hire period (3-12 wks), will be based on your baby's age to cover you for the fourth timester (first 12 weeks postpartum). What's included? ♡ Your chosen sling for the agreed hire period ♡ Emailed favourite how-to YouTube tutorials ♡ A basic sign-posting guide to your safety and positioning checks for each and every carry Optional ♡Highly Recommended send me up to 5 photos as a batch or 1 video (full on turning slow) via whatsapp of your first fitting attempt - one wearer. ♡ I'll provide reassurance and feedback, especially if there's something simple I'd suggest tweaking ––– The aim of this scheme is to give you an affordable way to try babywearing with a newborn, build a little confidence and see whether you enjoy carrying with a starter sling, before deciding what you'd like to invest in longer term once baby is sturdier and you'll naturally have more options that'll fit. ____ Add ons (optional, but recommended) Experience as a consultant has taught me that it's much easier to learn with someone alongside you. ♡ Stretchy Wrap Starter Workshop info above (provided spaces are left) +£15 ♡ Whatsapp 15 min checkin +£20 – great if you'd like to talk through your fit or troubleshoot something that's proving tricky. ♡ Have a more in-depth 1-1 on the next studio date listed +£30. Starter Workshop – £25

(3 family tickets available*). *Up to 2 adults per family unit welcome - note that one person will be an observer / helper. New to stretchy wrapping? Learn a straightforward, newborn-friendly stretchy-wrap carry in a small, relaxed group. We'll cover: – How to put on your wrap (note that you really don't need to buy anything before your session; – I have some lovely 2way-stretchy brands for learning with - as these are most intuitive type, so you can guage whether wrapping is for you, and can point you to where to buy after, or if you'd prefer why not add-on hire to take you up to 12 weeks postpartum?! – If you already have a wrap - bring it and we can look to work with it despite the stretch-type). – A standard newborn-friendly pocket carry – Positioning and safety checks – Spreading and tightening the passes – Common issues and troubleshooting You'll practise with your own baby where possible. Demo dolls are available for pregnant attendees / those who need one, so we can build to baby! You'll also get: – Opportunity for free photo fitcheck with baby post-session, plus some recap resources too. Is this the right session for me? – Suitable during pregnancy and for babies in the early months (roughly up to 12 weeks). – The session lasts around an hour, with plenty of flexibility for feeds, changes and cuddles. – One person will do the practical hands-on learning. Is this the right session for me? – Perfect if you're new to babywearing but aren't sure where to start, or if you want to explore your options before booking or committing to individual support. – This is an exploratory group session rather than a 1-1 with fittings. – If you have a particular problem to solve, would like help with a specific sling, or have several questions you'd like to work through, Quick Support, a Full Consultation or the Sling Clinic may be a better fit. For a specific focused issue
Book Quick Support – £40
Approx 45mins – 1 focused issue, such as carrier tips and techniques, back carrying, learning something new etc. (An existing carrier of yours or select between 2 of mine), we will likely cover comfort tweaks, positioning guidance and more. For 1 or 2 wearers – Add-on hire is also optional.
I want more guidance, and/or am not quite sure where to start:
Book a Full Consultation – £85
Up to 1.5hrs approx to explore your sling(s) or mine - 4 max, learn a new skill well such as woven wrapping, tandem, back carrying with something new etc. We'll focus on safety checks as well as positioning tips and techniques, or perhaps something less common such as tandem carrying, covering prematurity etc, and/or working through several questions. Inclusive of one week's sling hire. For 1 or 2 wearers and your little one(s).
Packages (Antenatal & Postnatal)
From £95
While I do have a Bump to Baby package (1 antenatal and 1 postpartum session) and a Newborn to toddler Growing Together package (3 sessions at various developmental carrying milestones over the first 18m). While I am navigating life with a newborn due/here, I suggest booking a full-consult & then we can chat on the day and when you book your subsequent sessions, I'll discount them at that time :)

Let's break it down
1. Dates are released in advance
I'll announce the next Studio Day approximately a month ahead.
2. Book the session that's right for you
You can book a workshop, clinic or consultation depending on the support you need. (Via Eventbrite)
Please note bookings will close 5 days in advance. And my baby will be in all sessions, so I do ask for your understanding and patience. We may need to reschedule things or for full transparency refund if the support I can offer doesn't align with your ideals. If you really would like support but the studio date(s) listed do not work then please do email.
3. Your place is confirmed once payment is received
All eventbrite bookings are reservations, with payment needed to secure within 24hrs to secure. Info in confirmation email.
This keeps the system simple & minimises my comms.
4. Come along and we'll take it from there
Bring your sling, bump or baby plus any questions you'd like help with.
And don't worry if your little one needs feeding, changing or settling during the session, that's very much part of babywearing life (and my new season too!)
I'm starting with one Studio Day a month and will see how it works for local families and for family life.
If demand is good and the format works well, I hope to increase this to two Studio Days a month in the new year. Dates will always be published here first.

A few years ago I was exactly where many of the parents I now support are today, excited about babywearing, but completely overwhelmed by all the choices, and not sure how to really do it! The journey I went on inspired me to train as a babywearing consultant with Slingababy and Carrying Matters. I continue to invest in regular professional development, so I can offer families safe, evidence-informed support that's always up to date. Today, I support families across Hastings and East Sussex - while I have offered home visits with baby no2 arriving soon I am adapting things. Every session will still be tailored because no two families, babies or bodies are the same. Whether you're booking a workshop, coming to my clinic for a quick fit check, need more time and help choosing your first carrier, or perhaps learning a new carrying skill, my aim is to give you confidence, reassurance, and the tools to keep learning beyond our session - because practice really does make perfect! Over the years I've worked with hundreds of different carriers on families of all shapes, sizes and stages. What is a Babywearing Consultant? A babywearing consultant is someone who has undertaken specialist training to help families use slings and carriers comfortably and safely. In my case, I've trained and qualified with two different schools of carrying. I have experience with a wide range of sling types, brands and carrying techniques, and have supported lots of different adults and babies, all with their own shapes, sizes and individual needs. I understand that there's no one-size-fits-all approach to babywearing. Different carriers work better for different families, and things like comfort, mobility, a baby's age and stage, and any additional considerations can all influence what's most suitable. My role is to help you understand your options, work towards your carrying goals and feel more confident in what you're doing – explaining the hows and whys along the way. What can I expect from a Littleonesnug support session? Every family is different, so I'll always look to tailor the support to your needs and the session you've booked. Depending on your session type, this might include: Learning how to use a stretchy wrap with your newborn. Exploring different sling types before deciding what to buy. Getting to grips with a carrier you already own. Working on comfort, fit and positioning. Learning a new skill, such as back carrying or tandem carrying. Discussing feeding in a carrier and other practical babywearing questions. Exploring creative solutions when something isn't quite working. My approach is always friendly, gentle and judgement-free. I'll never handle your baby without your permission, and I'm very happy to demonstrate on a doll or talk things through first. I want you to feel comfortable asking questions, trying things out and making decisions that work for your family – even if that means changing your mind about a carrier you initially thought was perfect! What about support before and after my session? I want you to feel supported, not left wondering what to do next. You'll have the opportunity to ask questions when arranging your booking, and I'll help you work out which session type is likely to suit your needs. Depending on the support you've booked, you may also receive recap resources or tutorial references to help you remember what we've covered. I'll explain any useful next steps and, where appropriate, offer a post-session check-in or photo fit-check. How do I book? What is a sling library? Hastings Sling Library is a place where you can try slings before committing to buying with fitting guidance if needed. I offer the guidance as consult sessions (which can take place in my studio, your home, or the hospital) or you can hire only – collecting from my home address with emailed resources to help with self-fitting (best for a confident wearer). Which areas do you cover? Littleonesnug is based in Hastings, East Sussex, and I support families locally and across the surrounding areas. My in-person support is currently offered through monthly Studio Days at my Hastings home studio, rather than individual home visits to work around my newborn. Families regularly travel to see me from Hastings, St Leonards, Bexhill, Battle, Rye, Heathfield, Eastbourne and surrounding areas. A little further afield? You're very welcome to get in touch if you're unsure whether travelling to me is practical. I know there are limited sling support options in some parts of the East Sussex coast, and I'll try to help you find a suitable way forward. What about home visits? Home visits are currently paused while I settle into life with a newborn. I'll review this as family life allows, but for now all in-person support takes place at my Hastings studio on scheduled Studio Days. Can I access support online? Depending on what you'd like help with, online support may be an option. Some questions and troubleshooting can be discussed remotely, although not everything is suitable for online guidance. Do you sell slings? I mainly hire out from my library and can then point you to authorised, long-standing and trusted retailers. Or even where to buy preloved. I often have discount codes too. While I do sell a few items, it does depend on the brand – I am able to competively dropship Lenny Lamb, Mamaruga and Neko products competitively. I also have an affiliate code with Izmi, Coshen, Lenny plus some other brands now and occasionally I'll do a library clear out. If you are after something quite specific i.e at a certain price point I can always ask out among my consultant network to see if anyone is moving something along too.
Do I need to buy a carrier before my session? No! In fact, I actively encourage trying before buying wherever possible – and that's one of the reasons I set up my sling library. At a session, we can explore suitable options from my sling library, helping you work out what feels comfortable and practical for you and your baby before you commit to buying anything. If you're expecting, we can look to have two sessions - one antenatally and one postnatally and just booking a full consult initially - and I can add discounts to your second session on booking - this will give you a chance to look at options ahead of your baby's arrival, particularly if you're hoping to carry your newborn from those earliest days. Already been gifted a sling or have one you've bought? We could look at this briefly in my clinic sessions, or take our time if you book in for 1-1 quick support. All in-person sessions currently take place at my Hastings home studio on scheduled Littleonesnug Studio Days.
